Homeschool Info Night

Want to learn more about homeschooling? The Utah Home Education Association will host an informational meeting on Wednesday, July 21, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Park City Library in room 109. UHEA representatives and current homeschoolers will offer information and answer questions for those new to or considering educating their children at home. Frog Talk and Walk

In 2004, 5,000 Columbia spotted frog tadpoles were released on the Swaner Preserve. Celebrate their success at an event at the EcoCenter on Thursday, July 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. Wildlife biologist Chris Crockett will discuss frogs' historical distribution in Utah, threats to survival, and re-introduction efforts. Following the talk, take an evening tour of the habitat the frogs call home. This is a technical, scientific talk geared for older children and adults. Michael Franti & Jimmy Cliff

Rock & Rock Hall of Fame inductee and reggae icon Jimmy Cliff joins Michael Franti & Spearhead for a celebration of roots, funk and reggae at Deer Valley's Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater on Tuesday, July 27. The show starts

at 6 p.m. and is appropriate for all ages. Seating is general admission on the lawn and coolers and picnics are welcome.
