Katie Holmes calls Tom Cruise 'incredible'

Katie Holmes calls Tom Cruise 'An incredible human being' In a recent interview with New York Magazine, Katie Holmes opened up about her life with husband Tom  Cruise and daughter Suri.

"Every movie he's done has done really well. I look back, and everything's a classic," Holmes tells the magazine. "He's helpful and sweet and gracious.  He's quite an incredible human being."

She also speaks candidly about her four year-old daughter's homeschooling, "We homeschool Suri--she has a teacher who is with her every day. We like the one-on-one education," the former Dawson's Creek star said. "I'm happy that my daughter is strong-willed and determined. You really have to go with what the child is wanting."

Suri Cruise has a fashion sense that outpaces her mom, according to Holmes. "Tom and I went to the Met ball a couple of years ago, and I had this beautiful red gown and these royal-blue shoes that I wasn't planning on wearing," says Holmes. "But Suri made me put them on and so I was like, 'Okay, I trust you."

Holmes also says Suri has been a fashionista for a long time. "She picks out all her own clothes and has since she was 1 ½."

The actress plays the former First Lady in an upcoming History Channel mini-series, The Kennedys.
